Every story comes in its original version plus several simplified reading levels, so it grows with your child.
The original text is the full story with rich vocabulary and descriptive language, ideal for reading aloud together and for kids who are ready for longer sentences.
The simplified levels retell the same story in shorter, simpler sentences matched to your child's stage. Ages 2-6 uses a few short sentences per scene, perfect for first time readers. Ages 4-8 adds simple dialogue and everyday vocabulary for kids beginning to follow along. Ages 6-10 keeps the language accessible while bringing back more of the story's detail, a natural bridge to the original.
Start at the level where your child is comfortable, and move up when they're ready. Hearing the same story told in richer language each time is one of the best ways to build vocabulary in any language.

Ngezandla ezithambile, inceku yayisa idada emaphikweni asekhishini lasegodlweni. Umpeki wasebukhosini, ethukile, wabuka inceku ikhuluma amazwi amnandi enhlabathi nenyoni.
Ndawonye basiza idada, futhi maduze into ebalulekile yaphuma—indandatho eyayibonakala inezinkanyezi phakathi kwayo ebandeni layo legolide. Kwakuyindandatho yeNdlovukazi ngempela!
Ubumsulwa benceku babonakaliswa. INkosi, amehlo ayo agcwele ukuzisola, yakhothama ikhanda yathi:
«Ngikwenzele okubi, nceku ethembekile. Cela noma yimuphi umvuzo, futhi uyakuba owakho.»
Kodwa inceku, umoya wayo owawufisa ukuzulazula, yacela ihhashi kuphela kanye nesikhwama esincane segolide.
Njengoba ukusa kwakudweba isibhakabhaka ngombala wezimbali zamarose negolide, yaphuma endleleni. Indlela yayiphethanisa ezihlanjini lapho izihlahla ezindala zazishoshozela izimfihlo.
Endaweni enjalo, wathola izinhlanzi ezintathu, amakhasi azo ekhanya njengamagugu, eziboshwe phakathi kohlanga ogcekeni lwamanzi, izimpumulo zazo zifuna amanzi anika ukuphila ayengekho eduze.

Ngaphandle kokucabanga, inceku yayikhombisa ihhashi layo eceleni, ivumela umbuso wezintuthwane ukuba uqhubeke nomsebenzi wazo ngaphandle kwezithiyo.
INkosi Yezintuthwane, umqhele wayo omncane ubabaza ukukhanya kwelanga, yamemeza yathi:
«Umhambi ohloniphekile, ubuhle bakho ngeke bukhohliwe! Lapho udinga usizo, sizoza ukukusiza!»
Ngaphambili endleleni, njengoba kusihlwa kwamboze isibhakabhaka ngombala wokhothe nensomi, inceku yahlangana nesigameko esibuhlungu enhliziyweni.
Phezulu emthini omdala onezimpande eziphothuliwe, umndeni wamahubo ayebuthanile. Abazali, izimpaphe zabo zimnyama njengobusuku, bazama ukufundisa abantwana babo ukuphapha, kodwa amaphuphu ayebuthakathaka kakhulu ngenxa yendlala ukuze asakaze amaphiko awo. «Buyisa le ndandatho,» yayala iNkosi, «bese umsebenzi wokuqala uyophela.»
Njengoba inceku yayihlezi ogwini lwamatshe, ibuka amagagasi eqhuma ematshaneni, inhliziyo yayo yawa phansi. Ubani owayengakwazi ukuthola indandatho eyodwa olwandle olukhulu kangaka?

Yethula inselelo yokugcina, eyayinzima kunakho konke:
«Hamba uye eziphelweni zomhlaba,» yayala, amehlo ayo ekhanya ngokuphikisana nethemba, «uzoletha i-aphula evela ku-Tree of Life edumile—isihlahla esikhula ensimini engafinyeleleki ngabantu, lapho izithelo zinika ukuhlakanipha okuphakade nothando olungenamkhawulo.»
