Every story comes in its original version plus several simplified reading levels, so it grows with your child.
The original text is the full story with rich vocabulary and descriptive language, ideal for reading aloud together and for kids who are ready for longer sentences.
The simplified levels retell the same story in shorter, simpler sentences matched to your child's stage. Ages 2-6 uses a few short sentences per scene, perfect for first time readers. Ages 4-8 adds simple dialogue and everyday vocabulary for kids beginning to follow along. Ages 6-10 keeps the language accessible while bringing back more of the story's detail, a natural bridge to the original.
Start at the level where your child is comfortable, and move up when they're ready. Hearing the same story told in richer language each time is one of the best ways to build vocabulary in any language.
Original Text: Ƙananan Mutanen Sihiri Da Mai Ɗinkin Takalma
A wani lokaci, an yi wani mai yin takalma. Shi mai gaskiya ne kuma mai ƙwazo, amma talaka ne ƙwarai. Zamani ya yi wuya, kuma ya ƙara talaucewa sosai.
A ƙarshe, fatar da take gare shi ta isa ya yi takalma biyu kawai, don haka wata dare, ya yanke fatar.
“Yanzu,” in ji shi, “na shirya gaba ɗaya in fara aiki da safe. Zan tashi da wuri in yi waɗannan takalman.”
Sai ya yi addu'arsa, ya kwanta, kuma ya yi barci cikin salama.
Da safe, ya tashi da wuri domin ya fara aikinsa. Ya yi mamaki ƙwarai da ya ga takalman suna kwance a kan tebur, an gama su! Ya dube su da kyau, amma babu ko ɗinki guda mara kyau a cikin aikin. Wa ya yi shi? Bai ma iya tsammani ba.

A wannan daren, ya yanke fatar. Amma bai zama dole ya yi su washegari ba. An gama masa aikin da dare.
Ya sayar da waɗannan takalma guda biyu, ya kuma sayi fata don yin takalma guda huɗu. Ya yanka su a wannan daren, sai ya tarar an gama su washegari da safe.
Haka abin ya ci gaba. Aikin da ya fara wata rana, sai ya tarar an gama shi washegari. Abin da kawai yake yi shi ne ya sayi fata ya kuma yanka fasalin takalman.
Wata daren hunturu, mai yin takalma ya yanka fasalin takalma da yawa. Sa’an nan, maimakon ya tafi ya kwanta, sai ya ce wa matarsa:
“Masoyiyata, ina so in gano wanda yake taimaka mana kowane dare. Bari mu zauna a farke mu kalla.”
Matarsa ta yarda. Don haka suka bar kyandir ɗin yana ci. Suka ɓoye kansu a wani kusurwar ɗakin. Da agogon ya buga sha biyu, sai wasu ƙananan elves biyu suka shigo ɗakin. Suka zauna a kan teburin mai yin takalma, suka fara aiki. Suka ɗinka da kyau sosai kuma da sauri sosai, har takalman suka gama nan da nan. Sa’an nan suka yi tsalle suka sauka, suka tafi.
Washegari da safe, matar ta ce,
“Masoyina, waɗannan ƙananan mutanen sun taimake mu sosai, kuma ina so in yi musu wani abu. Lallai suna jin sanyi, suna ta yawo da riguna sirara sosai. Zan yi musu wasu tufafi, in kuma ɗinka musu safa. Don Allah ka yi wa kowane elf takalma guda biyu.”
“Zan yi haka, kuma da farin ciki ma,” in ji mijinta.
Sai suka kama aiki, suka yi tufafin da takalman. A wannan dare, ba su sa wani aiki a kan teburin ba. Maimakon haka, suka ajiye kyaututtukan a wurin. Sa’an nan suka ɓuya don su ga abin da ƙananan mutanen za su yi.
Da tsakar dare, aljannun ƙanana suka shigo. Suka yi tsalle suka hau kan teburin, suna tsammanin za su tarar da fata da aka yanka musu don su yi takalma. Babu komai sai kyawawan ƙananan tufafi. Aljannun ƙanana suka dube su cikin mamaki. Suka taɓa laushin rigar, suka kuma sa hannayensu cikin ƙananan aljihunan.
A ƙarshe, suka yi ado, suka yi tsalle suka yi rawa saboda farin ciki. Suka bi ta kan kujerun tsuguno da kujeru, suna raira waƙa:
“Wa zai yi mamakin farin cikinmu?
Mu ƙananan maza ne masu farin ciki,
Yanzu mun yi ado sosai, kamar yadda kuke gani.”
